We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team at 4-H Camp Bristol Hills, located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York.
The Counselor in Training (CIT) Specialist will take a leadership role in facilitating our Counselor in Training program. This unique and exciting program is an opportunity to help develop the future staff of 4-H Camp Bristol Hills. The CIT Specialist will implement a training program for 15 and 16 year old campers who are interested in working at camp in the future. The CIT Specialist works with the Camp Director, Assistant Directors and Program Directors to coordinate and facilitate the one week Leader in Training (LIT) and two week CIT program.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Must be at least 18 years old by July 1 to comply with NYS Department of Health regulations. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be confident with public speaking. Experience in camping, leadership, youth development, education and/or recreation preferred. Able to work with diverse populations, supervise youth and work with the Camp Director and the team at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County. First Aid and CPR certifications desirable. College degree preferred.
